Powergirl Sketch by LostonWallace Powergirl Sketch by LostonWallace
We all know that POWERGIRL is a character who is all about two very important things: BOOKS and READING...right? ;) :D

She is. But everyone else focuses on two other things.

Your ability to draw so many "styles" blows my mind. All of them look amazing as well.

I love her expression! Without the book, it would be much harder to notice, LOL!

For sure! I was really impressed with her hips, hands and expression. Just a very nice piece of storytelling.

Way to taunt the fanboys, loston. Oh well, maybe if they read that book they can overcome the disappointment of never getting a powergirl in real life.

I guess I really go for irony in my humor sometimes, but comic book heroes and heroes are so larger than life, it's very easy to find humor in them, and to create humorous situations with them. Gotta love Power Girl though. Although Gerry Conway gets the credit for creating the character, it was Wally Wood who first gave her the large boobs, while working on ALL STAR COMICS. Wood was something of a rebel, and he wasn't keen on the Comic Code Authority. Back in the mid 1970s the code was very much in full force, and DC Comics abided by the strict regulations of the CCA. While working on ALL STAR COMICS Wood set out to make Power Girl's breasts larger and larger from panel to panel just to see if he could get away with pushing the boundaries of the code, and it worked. In one single issue alone Power Girl moves up several cup sizes. Ever since then, people have been depicting Power Girl with a very endowed physique, and fanboys the world over owe Wally Wood for that one. ;)

agh, I forgot to reply to this...so I'm like a week late. Thanks for that bit of trivia. Powergirl has never been a character I've had a ton of interest in...so I haven't looked much up on her, but that's still pretty funny.

I'd sell a kidney if it would make this be the first image of Power Girl that comes up in Google.
