Artist's Comments
This was a commission I did a while back for a mythology themed sketchbook. I was following a brilliant 2-page spread drawn by XENOZOIC TALES creators/writer/artist, Mark Schultz, so I had to bring my "A" game. I was asked to draw Circe from Greek mythology, a witch who turned her enemies into animals. I rendered it with soft graphites inside of the 11x17 sketchbook. I think this piece turned out pretty well, and though few drawings could ever surpass the piece Mark drew, I managed to hold my own okay.
